SSFCU App — Mobile Banking & Mobile Wallet

The SSFCU app is the official Security Service Federal Credit Union mobile banking application that puts your accounts, deposits and cards in your pocket. This is an independent member guide: it explains what SSFCU mobile banking and mobile wallet do and points you to the official app listings, but it is not the official site, does not host the app, and never collects your credentials.

The app carries over everything from the web portal — bill pay, transfers, secure messages and e-statements — and adds phone-only features like mobile deposit and mobile wallet. Get it only from the official Apple App Store or Google Play listing, then sign in with the same credentials you use for online banking. When you are set up, you sign in on the official Security Service site or app — never here.

What the Security Service mobile app does

  1. Get the official app — download the Security Service app only from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Never install an APK or sideloaded file; this guide does not host it.
  2. Mobile deposit — eligible members deposit a check by photographing the front and back inside the app, subject to the credit union’s hold rules.
  3. Mobile wallet — add an eligible card to Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay and tap to pay in stores or check out online.
  4. Transfers and bill pay — move money between accounts, pay bills and schedule recurring payments from your phone.
  5. Card controls — lock or unlock a debit or credit card instantly, set travel notices and review recent activity.
  6. Zelle (if offered) — send money to people you trust, when person-to-person payments are available in your app.
  7. e-Statements and alerts — read statements and receive balance or transaction alerts without a browser.

Every one of these tasks runs inside the official app after you sign in. This page describes them so you know what to expect — it never asks you to log in here.

Download only from the official App Store or Google Play

There is one safe source for the SSFCU app on each platform: the official Apple App Store on iPhone and iPad, and the official Google Play store on Android. Search for Security Service Federal Credit Union, confirm the publisher, and install from that listing. We deliberately do not host the app or link to any APK — downloading an Android package from a third-party site is a common way phones pick up tampered or fake banking apps, and it bypasses the store’s security review.

Sign in only on the official app: After installing from the App Store or Google Play, sign in with your online-banking username and password inside the official app. This guide never shows a login box. Security Service will never call or text asking for your one-time passcode, activation code, username or password — if someone does, it is a scam.

Mobile deposit and everyday tasks

Mobile deposit is often the reason members install the app in the first place. Endorse the check, choose the deposit option in the official app, photograph the front and back in good light, and confirm the amount — the funds post subject to Security Service’s standard hold and eligibility rules. Beyond deposits, the app mirrors the web experience: pay a bill, schedule a recurring payment, transfer between your accounts or to a linked bank using the routing number 314088637, send a secure message, and open your e-statements. If you would rather bank on a computer, our online banking guide covers the same features on the web.

Mobile wallet: Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay

A mobile wallet turns your phone into a contactless card. Add an eligible Security Service debit or credit card to Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay, and you can tap to pay at checkout terminals and complete online purchases without typing the card number. Set-up happens in the wallet app on your device or from the card screen inside the Security Service app, and your real card number is replaced by a device-specific token for each transaction. If a card is ever lost, use the app’s card controls to lock it, then reach member service on 1-888-415-7878. For anything that needs a signature or a teller, the locations page lists branches and ATMs, and account services covers the rest.
